Hadith text

Narrated Anas:On the day of the Conquest of Mecca, when the Prophet (ﷺ) had given (from the booty) to the Quraish, the Ansar said, "By Allah, this is indeed very strange: While our swords are still dribbling with the blood of Quraish, our war booty is distributed amongst them." When this news reached the Prophet (ﷺ) he called the Ansar and said, "What is this news that has reached me from you?" They used not to tell lies, so they replied, "What has reached you is true." He said, "Doesn't it please you that the people take the booty to their homes and you take Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) to your homes? If the Ansar took their way through a valley or a mountain pass, I would take the Ansar's valley or a mountain pass

Anas bataate hain: Fatah-e-Mecca ke din, jab Nabi ne (maal-e-ghanimat mein se) Quraish ko diya, Ansaar ne kaha, "Allah ki qasam, yeh sach mein bahut ajeeb hai: Jabke humari talwaren abhi bhi Quraish ke khoon se tapak rahi hain, humara jung ka maal unmein baanta ja raha hai." Jab yeh khabar Nabi tak pahunchi, unhone Ansaar ko bulaya aur kaha, "Yeh kya khabar hai jo mujhtak tumse pahunchi hai?" Woh jhoot nahi bolte the, isliye unhone jawab diya, "Jo aaptak pahunchi hai woh sach hai." Unhone kaha, "Kya tumhe khushi nahi hoti ke log apna maal-e-ghanimat apne gharon le jaen aur tum Allah ke Rasool ko apne gharon le jaao? Agar Ansaar kisi waadi ya pahadi raaste se guzarte, main Ansaar ki waadi ya pahadi raaste se guzarta."
