Hadith text

Narrated 'Aishah (ra):Hind bint 'Utba came and said, "O Allah's Messenger! (Before I embraced Islam) there was no family on the surface of the earth I wished to see in degradation more than I did your family, but today there is no family on the surface of the earth I wish to see honored more than I did yours." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I thought similarly, by Him in whose Hand my soul is!" She further said, "O Allah's Messenger ! Abu Sufyan is a miser, so, is it sinful of me to feed my children from his property ?" He said, "I do not allow it unless you take for your needs what is just and reasonable

Ayesha bataati hain: Hind bint Utba aee aur kaha, "Ya Allah ke Rasool! (Islam qubool karne se pahle) zameen par koi bhi pariwara aisa nahi tha jinki apmaan hote dekhna main utna chahti jitna aapke pariwara ki chahti thi, magar aaj zameen par koi bhi pariwara aisa nahi jiski izzat hote dekhna main utna chahti jitna aapke pariwara ki chahti hoon." Nabi ne kaha, "Usi Zaat ki qasam jiske haathon mein meri jaan hai, mera bhi yehi khyaal tha!" Unhone aage kaha, "Ya Allah ke Rasool! Abu Sufyan ek kanjoos shaks hai, isliye kya mujhe gunah hoga agar main unki jaidad se apne bachchon ko khilaun?" Unhone kaha, "Main iski ijazat nahi deta siwaye iske ke tum apni zaroorton ke liye jaayaz aur uchit maatra le sako."
