Hadith text

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، أَخْبَرَنَا قَيْسٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنه أَنَّهُ أَتَى أَبَا جَهْلٍ وَبِهِ رَمَقٌ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ، فَقَالَ أَبُو جَهْلٍ هَلْ أَعْمَدُ مِنْ رَجُلٍ قَتَلْتُمُوهُ

Narrated `Abdullah That he came across Abu Jahl while he was on the point of death on the day of Badr. Abu Jahl said, "You should not be proud that you have killed me nor I am ashamed of being killed by my own folk

Abdullah bataate hain: Woh Abu Jahl ke paas se guzre jabke woh maut ke qareeb the, Badr ki jung ke din. Abu Jahl ne kaha, "Tumhe ispar gaurav nahi karna chahiye ke tumne mujhe qatl kiya hai, na hi mujhe apni hi qaum ke haathon qatl hone par sharm hai."
