Hadith text
Narrated Ibn `Umar:The Prophet (ﷺ) stood at the well of Badr (which contained the corpses of the pagans) and said, "Have you found true what your lord promised you?" Then he further said, "They now hear what I say." This was mentioned before `Aisha and she said, "But the Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'Now they know very well that what I used to tell them was the truth.' Then she recited (the Holy Verse):-- "You cannot make the dead hear... ...till the end of Verse
Ibn Umar bataate hain: Nabi Badr ke kue (jismein mushrikon ki laashen thi) ke paas khade hue aur kaha, "Kya tumne paaya jo tumhare Rab ne tumse waada kiya, sach tha?" Phir unhone aage kaha, "Ab woh jo main kah raha hoon woh sunte hain." Yeh Ayesha ke saamne zikar hua aur unhone kaha, "Magar Nabi ne kaha, 'Ab unhe achhi tarah pata hai ke maine unse jo kaha woh sach tha.'" Phir unhone (paak Ayat) padha: "Aap murdon ko suna nahi sakte..." (aage tak)
