Hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ ـ هُوَ ابْنُ صَالِحٍ ـ حَدَّثَنَا عَنْبَسَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ثُمَّ سَأَلْتُ الْحُصَيْنَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ ـ وَهْوَ أَحَدُ بَنِي سَالِمٍ وَهْوَ مِنْ سَرَاتِهِمْ ـ عَنْ حَدِيثِ، مَحْمُودِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ عَنْ عِتْبَانَ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، فَصَدَّقَةُ.
Narrated Ibn Shihab:I asked Al-Husain bin Muhammad who was one of the sons of Salim and one of the nobles amongst them, about the narration of Mahmud bin Ar-Rabi 'from `Itban bin Malik, and he confirmed it
Ibn Shihab bataate hain: Maine Al-Husain bin Muhammad se pucha, jo Salim ke beton mein se ek the aur unmein sabse izzatdaar the, Mahmud bin Ar-Rabi ki Itban bin Malik se riwaayat ke baare mein, aur unhone ispar muhar lagaee.
