Hadith text
Narrated Abu Hazim:That he heard Sahl bin Sa`d being asked about the wounds of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, "By Allah, I know who washed the wounds of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and who poured water (for washing them), and with what he was treated." Sahl added, "Fatima, the daughter of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to wash the wounds, and `Ali bin Abi Talib used to pour water from a shield. When Fatima saw that the water aggravated the bleeding, she took a piece of a mat, burnt it, and inserted its ashes into the wound so that the blood was congealed (and bleeding stopped). His canine tooth got broken on that day, and his face was wounded, and his helmet was broken on his head
Abu Hazim bataate hain: Unhone Sahl bin Sa'd se Allah ke Rasool ke zakhmon ke baare mein puchte suna, aur unhone jawab diya, "Allah ki qasam, mujhe pata hai kisne Allah ke Rasool ke zakhm dhoae, aur kisne paani daala (unhe dhone ke liye), aur unka ilaaj kis cheez se kiya gaya." Sahl ne joda, "Nabi ki beti Fatima unke zakhm dhoya karti thi, aur Ali bin Abi Talib ek dhaal se paani daalte the. Jab Fatima ne dekha ke paani khoon ki maatra badha raha hai, unhone ek chataee ka ek tukda liya, use jala diya, aur uski raakh zakhm mein daal di taaki khoon jam jaaye (aur bahna ruk jaye). Unka daadh ka daant us din toot gaya tha, aur unka chehra zakhmi ho gaya tha, aur unka khod tut gaya tha unke sar par."
