Hadith text
حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، سَمِعْتُ أَبَا إِسْحَاقَ، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ صُرَدٍ، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ حِينَ أَجْلَى الأَحْزَابُ عَنْهُ " الآنَ نَغْزُوهُمْ وَلاَ يَغْزُونَنَا، نَحْنُ نَسِيرُ إِلَيْهِمْ ".
Narrated Sulaiman bin Surad:When the clans were driven away, I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, "From now onwards we will go to attack them (i.e. the infidels) and they will not come to attack us, but we will go to them
Sulaiman bin Surad bataate hain: Jab giroh (yaani mushrik fauj) bhagaee gaye, maine Nabi ko kehte suna, "Ab se hum unpar (yaani kaafiron par) hamla karne jaenge, aur woh humpar hamla karne nahi aenge, balki hum unke paas jaenge."
