Hadith text
Narrated Anas bin Malik:Someone came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and said, "The donkeys have been eaten (by the Muslims)." The Prophet kept quiet. Then the man came again and said, "The donkeys have been eaten." The Prophet (ﷺ) kept quiet. The man came to him the third time and said, "The donkeys have been consumed." On that the Prophet (ﷺ) ordered an announcer to announce to the people, "Allah and His Apostle forbid you to eat the meat of donkeys." Then the cooking pots were upset while the meat was still boiling in them
Anas bin Malik bataate hain: Koee Allah ke Rasool ke paas aaya aur kaha, "Gadhe khaae ja chuke hain (Musalmanon dwaara)." Nabi khaamosh rahe. Phir shaks phir aaya aur kaha, "Gadhe khaae ja chuke hain." Nabi phir khaamosh rahe. Shaks teesri baar unke paas aaya aur kaha, "Gadhe khatam kiye ja chuke hain." Ispar Nabi ne ek elaan karne wale ko hukum diya logon ko elaan karne ke liye, "Allah aur uske Rasool tumhe gadhon ka gosht khaane se mana karte hain." Phir khaane ke bartan ulte kar diye gaye jabke gosht abhi bhi unmein ubal raha tha.
