Hadith text

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:I do not know whether the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade the eating of donkey-meat (temporarily) because they were the beasts of burden for the people, and he disliked that their means of transportation should be lost, or he forbade it on the day of Khaibar permanently

Ibn Abbas bataate hain: Mujhe nahi pata kya Nabi ne gadhon ka gosht khaane se (asthai roop se) isliye mana kiya kyunke woh log logon ke saamaan dhone wale janwar the, aur unhe napasand tha ke unke yaatra karne ke saadhan kho jaen, ya unhone ise Khaibar ke din hamesha ke liye mana kiya.
