Hadith text
Narrated Abu Huraira:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) sent Aban from Medina to Najd as the commander of a Sariya. Aban and his companions came to the Prophet (ﷺ) at Khaibar after the Prophet (ﷺ) had conquered it, and the reins of their horses were made of the fire of date palm trees. I said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Do not give them a share of the booty." On that, Aban said (to me), "Strange! You suggest such a thing though you are what you are, O guinea pig coming down from the top of Ad-Da'n (a lotus tree)!" On that the Prophet said, "O Aban, sit down!" and did not give them any share
Abu Huraira bataate hain: Allah ke Rasool ne Madina se Aban ko Najd ki taraf ek Sariya (yaani chhote daste) ka kamander bankar bheja. Aban aur unke sathi Nabi ke paas Khaibar mein aaye Nabi ke ise fatah karne ke baad, aur unke ghodon ki lagamen khajoor ke darakhton ki daaliyon se bani huee thi. Maine kaha, "Ya Allah ke Rasool! Unhe maal-e-ghanimat mein hissa mat dijiye." Ispar, Aban ne (mujhse) kaha, "Kitni ajeeb baat hai! Aap aisi baat sujhaav dete hain chahe aap jo bhi hain, Aye Ad-Da'n ki choti se aee ginni pig!" Ispar Nabi ne kaha, "Aye Aban, baith jao!" aur unhe koee hissa nahi diya.
