Hadith text
Narrated Ibn `Umar:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) appointed Usama bin Zaid as the commander of some people. Those people criticized his leadership. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "If you speak ill of his leadership, you have already spoken ill of his father's leadership before. By Allah, he deserved to be a Commander, and he was one of the most beloved persons to me and now this (i.e. Usama) is one of the most beloved persons to me after him
Ibn Umar bataate hain: Allah ke Rasool ne Usama bin Zaid ko kuch logon ka sardaar muqarrar kiya. Un logon ne unki agwaee ki aalochana ki. Nabi ne kaha, "Agar tum unki agwaee ki buraee kar rahe ho, tumne pahle bhi unke waalid ki agwaee ki buraee ki thi. Allah ki qasam, woh sardaar banne ke laayak the, aur woh mere sabse pyare logon mein se the, aur ab yeh (yaani Usama) unke baad mere sabse pyare logon mein se hain."
