Narrated Bukair:That Kuraib, the freed slave of Ibn `Abbas told him that Ibn `Abbas, `Abdur-Rahman bin Azhar and Al-Miswar bin Makhrama sent him to `Aisha saying, "Pay her our greetings and ask her about our offering of the two-rak`at after `Asr Prayer, and tell her that we have been informed that you offer these two rak`at while we have heard that the Prophet (ﷺ) had forbidden their offering." Ibn `Abbas said, "I and `Umar used to beat the people for their offering them." Kuraib added, "I entered upon her and delivered their message to her.' She said, 'Ask Um Salama.' So, I informed them (of `Aisha's answer) and they sent me to Um Salama for the same purpose as they sent me to `Aisha. Um Salama replied, 'I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) forbidding the offering of these two rak`at. Once the Prophet (ﷺ) offered the `Asr prayer, and then came to me. And at that time some Ansari women from the Tribe of Banu Haram were with me. Then (the Prophet (ﷺ) ) offered those two rak`at, and I sent my (lady) servant to him, saying, 'Stand beside him and say (to him): Um Salama says, 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Didn't I hear you forbidding the offering of these two rak`at (after the `Asr prayer yet I see you offering them?' And if he beckons to you with his hand, then wait behind.' So the lady slave did that and the Prophet (ﷺ) beckoned her with his hand, and she stayed behind, and when the Prophet (ﷺ) finished his prayer, he said, 'O the daughter of Abu Umaiya (i.e. Um Salama), You were asking me about these two rak`at after the `Asr prayer. In fact, some people from the tribe of `Abdul Qais came to me to embrace Islam and busied me so much that I did not offer the two rak`at which were offered after Zuhr compulsory prayer, and these two rak`at (you have seen me offering) make up for those

Bukair bataate hain: Kuraib, Ibn Abbas ke azaad kiye gulaam, ne unhe bataya ke Ibn Abbas, Abdur-Rahman bin Azhar, aur Al-Miswar bin Makhrama ne unhe Ayesha ke paas bheja, kehte huye, "Unhe humara salaam kaho aur Asr ki namaz ke baad ki do rakaton ke baare mein pucho, aur unse kaho ke humein bataya gaya hai ke aap yeh do rakat padhte hain jabke humne suna hai ke Nabi ne in donon rakaton ko padhne se mana kiya tha." Ibn Abbas ne kaha, "Main aur Umar logon ko in do rakaton ke padhne par (rokne ke liye) maarte the." Kuraib ne joda, "Main unke paas gaya aur unka paighaam pahunchaya. Unhone kaha, 'Um Salama se puchho.' Isliye maine unhe (yeh jawab) bataya aur unhone mujhe Um Salama ke paas usi maksad ke liye bheja jaisa Ayesha ke paas bheja tha. Um Salama ne jawab diya, 'Maine Nabi ko in do rakaton ko padhne se mana karte suna. Ek baar Nabi ne Asr ki namaz padhi aur phir mere paas aaye. Us waqt kuch Ansaari aurten, Banu Haram qabile se, mere saath thi. Phir (Nabi ne) woh do rakaten padhi, aur maine apni launDi ko unke paas bheja, kehte huye, "Unke bagal mein khade ho jao aur (unse) kaho: Um Salama kahti hain, Aye Allah ke Rasool! Kya maine aapko in do rakaton ko padhne se mana karte hue nahi suna jabke main aapko unhe padhte dekh rahi hoon? Aur agar woh apne haath se ishaara karen, phir peeche ruko." Isliye launDi ne waisa hi kiya aur Nabi ne unhe apne haath se ishara kiya, aur woh peeche ruki, aur jab Nabi ne apni namaz khatm ki, unhone kaha, "Aye Abu Umaiya ki beti (yaani Um Salama), aapne mujhse in do rakaton ke baare mein pucha jo Asr ki namaz ke baad padhi jaati hain. Asal mein, Abdul Qais qabile ke kuch log mere paas Islam qubool karne aaye aur mujhe itna vyast kar diya ke maine woh do rakat nahi padhi jo Zuhr ki farz namaz ke baad padhi jaati hain, aur yeh do rakat (jo aapne mujhe abhi padhte dekha) un donon ki kami poori karte hain.'"'"
