Narrated Ibn `Abbas:`Umar said, "Our best Qur'an reciter is Ubai and our best judge is `Ali; and in spite of this, we leave some of the statements of Ubai because Ubai says, 'I do not leave anything that I have heard from Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) while Allah said: "Whatever verse (Revelations) do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten but We bring a better one or similar to it
Ibn Abbas bataate hain: Umar ne kaha, 'Hamara sabse achha Quran padhne wala Ubai hai aur sabse achha qaazi Ali hain; is ke bawajood, hum Ubai ki kuch baaton ko chhod dete hain kyunke Ubai kehte hain, "Maine jo kuch Allah ke Rasool (SAW) se suna hai, usmein se kuch nahi chhodta," jabke Allah ne farmaya hai: "Jo aayat hum mansookh karte hain ya bhula dete hain, uski jagah usse behtar ya usi jaisi le aate hain."'
