حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمٌ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ قَالَتْ لَمَّا نَزَلَتِ الآيَاتُ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي الرِّبَا قَرَأَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى النَّاسِ، ثُمَّ حَرَّمَ التِّجَارَةَ فِي الْخَمْرِ‏.‏

Narrated `Aisha:When the Verses of Surat-al-Baqara regarding usury (i.e. Riba) were revealed, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) recited them before the people and then he prohibited the trade of alcoholic liquors

Aisha bataati hain: Jab Surah Al-Baqarah ki soodkhori (Riba) ke baare mein Aayaten naazil hui, to Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ne unhe logon ke saamne padha, phir sharaab ki tijaarat ko haraam qaraar diya.
