Hadith text

وَقَالَ لَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، وَالأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ لَمَّا أُنْزِلَتِ الآيَاتُ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَرَأَهُنَّ عَلَيْنَا، ثُمَّ حَرَّمَ التِّجَارَةَ فِي الْخَمْرِ‏.‏

Narrated `Aisha:When the last Verses of Surat-al-Baqara were revealed, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) stood up and recited them before us and then prohibited the trade of alcoholic liquors

Aisha bataati hain: Jab Surah Al-Baqarah ki aakhri Aayaten naazil hui, to Allah ke Rasool (SAW) khade hue aur humare saamne unhe padha, phir sharaab ki tijaarat ko haraam qaraar diya.
