Hadith text
Narrated `Urwa:Az-Zubair quarrelled with a man from the Ansar because of a natural mountainous stream at Al-Harra. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "O Zubair! Irrigate (your lands) and then let the water flow to your neighbor." The Ansar said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) (This is because) he (Zubair) is your cousin?" At that, the Prophet's face became red (with anger) and he said "O Zubair! Irrigate (your land) and then withhold the water till it fills the land up to the walls and then let it flow to your neighbor." So the Prophet (ﷺ) enabled Az-Zubair to take his full right after the Ansari provoked his anger. The Prophet (ﷺ) had previously given an order that was in favor of both of them Az-Zubair said, "I don't think but the Verse was revealed in this connection: "But no, by your Lord, they can have no faith, until they make you judge in all disputes between them
Urwa bataate hain: Az-Zubair ka ek Ansaari shaks se Al-Harra mein ek pahaadi naale (paani ke behne) ke maamle par jhagda ho gaya. Nabi (SAW) ne farmaya, 'Aye Zubair! Tum (apni zameen ki) sichaai karo, phir paani apne padosi ke liye chhod do.' Ansaari ne kaha, 'Aye Allah ke Rasool! (Ye faisla isliye hai ke) wo aapke chachazaad bhai hain?' Isper Nabi (SAW) ka chehra (naaraazgi se) surkh ho gaya aur unhone farmaya, 'Aye Zubair! Tum sichaai karo, phir paani ko rok kar rakho yahaan tak ke wo tumhari zameen ki deewaron tak bhar jaaye, phir apne padosi ke liye chhod do.' Is tarah Nabi (SAW) ne Zubair ko unka poora haq dilaaya jab Ansaari ne unhe naaraaz kar diya tha, jabke pehle unhone dono ke haq mein faisla diya tha. Az-Zubair ne kaha, 'Mera khayaal hai ke ye Aayat isi silsile mein naazil hui thi: "Nahi, tumhare Rab ki qasam, ye log momin nahi ho sakte jab tak apne aapas ke jhagdon mein tumhein faisla karne wala na maan lein..."'
