Hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، {خُذِ الْعَفْوَ وَأْمُرْ بِالْعُرْفِ} قَالَ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ إِلاَّ فِي أَخْلاَقِ النَّاسِ.
Narrated `Abdullah bin Az-Zubair:(The Verse) "Hold to forgiveness; command what is right..." was not revealed by Allah except in connection with the character of the people
Abdullah bin Az-Zubair bataate hain: Ye Aayat, 'Maafi ka rasta ikhtiyaar karo, achhi baat ka hukm do...' Allah ne sirf logon ke akhlaaq (chaal-chalan) ke silsile mein hi naazil ki thi.
