Hadith text
Narrated `Aisha:(the wife of the Prophet), I never saw Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) laughing loudly enough to enable me to see his uvula, but he used to smile only. And whenever he saw clouds or winds, signs of deep concern would appear on his face. I said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! When people see clouds they usually feel happy, hoping that it would rain, while I see that when you see clouds, one could notice signs of dissatisfaction on your face." He said, "O `Aisha! What is the guarantee for me that there will be no punishment in it, since some people were punished with a wind? Verily, some people saw (received) the punishment, but (while seeing the cloud) they said, 'This cloud will give us rain
Aisha bataati hain: Maine kabhi Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ko itni zor se hansta nahi dekha ke main unka kauva (halq ka andar wala hissa) dekh sakoon, wo sirf muskuraaya karte the. Aur jab bhi wo baadal ya hawa dekhte, unke chehre par fikr ke aasaar zaahir ho jaate. Maine (unse) kaha, 'Aye Allah ke Rasool! Log to baadal dekh kar khush hote hain ye ummeed karte hue ke baarish hogi, jabke maine dekha hai ke jab aap baadal dekhte hain, to aapke chehre par be-chaini ke aasaar nazar aate hain.' Unhone farmaya, 'Aye Aisha! Mujhe kya zamaanat hai ke isme koi azaab nahi hoga, jabke kuch logon ko (aage) hawa se saza mili thi? Kuch logon ne (azaab) dekha (magar unhone use pehchaana nahi) aur (baadal dekh kar) kaha, "Ye baadal humpar baarish barsaayega."'
