Hadith text

Narrated Masruq:I said to `Aisha, "O Mother! Did Prophet Muhammad see his Lord?" Aisha said, "What you have said makes my hair stand on end ! Know that if somebody tells you one of the following three things, he is a liar: Whoever tells you that Muhammad saw his Lord, is a liar." Then Aisha recited the Verse: 'No vision can grasp Him, but His grasp is over all vision. He is the Most Courteous Well-Acquainted with all things.' (6.103) 'It is not fitting for a human being that Allah should speak to him except by inspiration or from behind a veil.' (42.51) `Aisha further said, "And whoever tells you that the Prophet knows what is going to happen tomorrow, is a liar." She then recited: 'No soul can know what it will earn tomorrow.' (31.34) She added: "And whoever tells you that he concealed (some of Allah's orders), is a liar." Then she recited: 'O Apostle! Proclaim (the Message) which has been sent down to you from your Lord..' (5.67) `Aisha added, "But the Prophet (ﷺ) saw Gabriel in his true form twice

Masruq bataate hain: Maine Aisha se kaha, 'Aye Ammi! Kya Nabi Muhammad (SAW) ne apne Rab ko dekha tha?' Aisha ne kaha, 'Jo tumne kaha usse mere baal khade ho gaye! Jaan lo ke agar koi tumhein in teen baaton mein se koi ek kahe, to wo jhoota hai: jo koi tumse kahe ke Muhammad ne apne Rab ko dekha hai, wo jhoota hai.' Phir Aisha ne ye Aayat padhi: 'Nazrein use paa nahi sakti, magar uski pakad tamaam nazron par hai. Wo bade rehmat waala aur har cheez se khoob waaqif hai.' (6:103) 'Kisi bhi insaan ke liye ye mumkin nahi ke Allah usse seedhe baat kare, siwaaye wahi ke zariye ya parde ke peechhe se.' (42:51) Aisha ne aage kaha, 'Aur jo koi tumse kahe ke Nabi (SAW) ko pata hai kal kya hoga, wo jhoota hai.' Phir unhone ye padha: 'Koi jaan nahi jaanti wo kal kya kamaayegi.' (31:34) Unhone aage kaha, 'Aur jo koi tumse kahe ke unhone (Allah ke hukmon mein se) kuch chhupaaya, wo jhoota hai.' Phir unhone ye padha: 'Aye Rasool! Jo aapke Rab ki taraf se aap par naazil kiya gaya hai, use pahuncha dijiye...' (5:67) Aisha ne aage kaha, 'Magar Nabi (SAW) ne Jibrael ko unki asal soorat mein do baar dekha tha.'
