Narrated Zaid bin Arqam:When `Abdullah bin Ubai said, "Do not spend on those who are with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)," and also said, "If we return to Medina," I informed the Prophet (ﷺ) of his saying. The Ansar blamed me for that, and `Abdullah bin Ubai swore that he did not say. I returned to my house and slept. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) then called me and I went to him. He said, "Allah has confirmed your statement." The Verse: "They are the one who say: Spend nothing......(63.7) was revealed
Zaid bin Arqam bataate hain: Jab Abdullah bin Ubai ne kaha, 'Un par kharch mat karo jo Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ke saath hain,' aur ye bhi kaha, 'Agar hum Madina wapas gaye...' - maine Nabi (SAW) ko iski khabar di. Ansaar ne mujhe iske liye malaamat ki, aur Abdullah bin Ubai ne qasam khaayi ke usne aisa nahi kaha. Main apne ghar wapas gaya aur so gaya. Phir Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ne mujhe bulwaaya aur main unke paas gaya. Unhone farmaya, 'Allah ne tumhaari baat ki tasdeeq kar di.' Ye Aayat naazil hui: 'Yahi wo log hain jo kehte hain: Kuch bhi kharch mat karo...' (63:7)
