Hadith text
Narrated Musa bin `Uqba:`Abdullah bin Al-Fadl told me that Anas bin Malik said, "I was much grieve over those who had been killed in the Battle of Al-Harra. When Zaid bin Arqarr heard of my intense grief (over the killed Ansar), he wrote a letter to me saying that he heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, O Allah! Forgive the Ansar and the Ansar children. Musa bin Uqba bataate hain: Abdullah bin Al-Fadl ne mujhe bataaya ke Anas bin Malik ne kaha, 'Main jang-e-Al-Harra mein maare gaye logon ke liye bahut gam-zada tha. Jab Zaid bin Arqam ne mera (Ansaar ke maqtool logon ke liye) shadeed gam suna, to unhone mujhe ek khat likha jismein bataya ke unhone Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ko ye kehte suna, "Aye Allah! Ansaar aur Ansaar ke bachon ko maaf farma."' (Ravi Ibn Al-Fadl ko yaqeen nahi ke Nabi ne 'aur unki naati-poti ko bhi' kaha ya nahi.) Wahaan maujood kuch logon ne Anas se (Zaid ke baare mein) pucha. Unhone kaha, 'Wo (Zaid) wahi hain jinke baare mein Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ne farmaya tha, "Unki sunne ki taaqat ki gawaahi khud Allah ne di hai."'
