Sahih al-Bukhari 4935

Hadith text

Narrated Al--A`mash:Abu Huraira said, "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, 'Between the two sounds of the trumpet, there will be forty." Somebody asked Abu Huraira, "Forty days?" But he refused to reply. Then he asked, "Forty months?" He refused to reply. Then he asked, "Forty years?" Again, he refused to reply. Abu Huraira added. "Then (after this period) Allah will send water from the sky and then the dead bodies will grow like vegetation grows, There is nothing of the human body that does not decay except one bone; that is the little bone at the end of the coccyx of which the human body will be recreated on the Day of Resurrection." Al-A'mash bataate hain: Abu Huraira ne kaha, 'Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ne farmaya, "Do soor ki aawaazon ke darmiyaan chaalis (ka faasla) hoga."' Kisi ne Abu Huraira se pucha, 'Chaalis din?' Magar unhone jawab dene se inkaar kiya. Phir unhone pucha, 'Chaalis mahine?' Unhone phir jawab dene se inkaar kiya. Phir unhone pucha, 'Chaalis saal?' Unhone phir jawab dene se inkaar kiya. Abu Huraira ne aage kaha, 'Phir (is muddat ke baad) Allah aasman se paani bhejega, aur murda jism aise ugenge jaise sabzi ugti hai. Insaan ke jism ka koi hissa nahi bachta jo gal na jaaye siwaaye ek haddi ke; wo reedh ki haddi ke aakhri hisse (coccyx) ki chhoti si haddi hai, jisse Qayamat ke din poora jism dobara banaaya jaayega.'
