Hadith text

Narrated `Ali:While the Prophet (ﷺ) was in a funeral procession. he picked up something and started scraping the ground with it, and said, "There is none among you but has his place written for him either in the Hell Fire or in Paradise." They said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Shall we not depend upon what has been written for us and give up deeds? He said, "Carry on doing (good) deeds, for everybody will find easy to do such deeds as will lead him to his destined place for which he has been created. So he who is destined to be among the happy (in the Hereafter), will find it easy to do the deeds characteristic of such people, while he who is destined to be among the miserable ones, will find it easy to do the deeds characteristic of such people." Then he recited: 'As for him who gives (in charity) and fears Allah, and believes in the best

Ali bataate hain: Jab Nabi (SAW) ek janaaze ke jaloos mein the, unhone kuch uthaaya aur usse zameen khurachna shuru kiya, aur farmaya, 'Tum mein se koi nahi jiske liye Jahannam ya Jannat mein uski jagah pehle se likhi na ho.' Logon ne kaha, 'Aye Allah ke Rasool! To kya hum us par bharosa na karein jo hamaare liye likha ja chuka hai aur amal karna chhod dein?' Unhone farmaya, 'Amal karte raho, kyunke har kisi ke liye aise amal aasan kar diye jaayenge jo use uski usi muqaddar wali jagah tak le jaayein jiske liye wo banaaya gaya hai. To jo (Aakhirat mein) khush-naseebon mein se hoga, uske liye khush-naseebon jaise amal aasan ho jaayenge, aur jo bad-naseebon mein se hoga, uske liye bad-naseebon jaise amal aasan ho jaayenge.' Phir unhone padha: 'Jo shaks (khairaat mein) deta hai aur Allah se darta hai, aur behtareen (badle) par Iman rakhta hai...'
