حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْكَاهِلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ قَالَ سَأَلْتُهَا عَنْ قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى ‏{‏إِنَّا أَعْطَيْنَاكَ الْكَوْثَرَ‏}‏ قَالَتْ نَهَرٌ أُعْطِيَهُ نَبِيُّكُمْ صلى الله عليه وسلم شَاطِئَاهُ عَلَيْهِ دُرٌّ مُجَوَّفٌ آنِيَتُهُ كَعَدَدِ النُّجُومِ‏.‏ رَوَاهُ زَكَرِيَّاءُ وَأَبُو الأَحْوَصِ وَمُطَرِّفٌ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ‏.‏

Narrated Abu Ubaida:I asked `Aisha 'regarding the verse:--'Verily we have granted you the Kauthar.' She replied, "The Kauthar is a river which has been given to your Prophet on the banks of which there are (tents of) hollow pearls and its utensils are as numberless as the stars

Abu Ubaida bataate hain: Maine Aisha se is Aayat ke baare mein pucha, 'Beshak Humne aapko Kauthar ata kiya.' Unhone jawab diya, 'Kauthar ek nadi hai jo aapke Nabi (SAW) ko di gayi hai, jiske kinaare khokhle motiyon ke (khaimon se bane) hain, aur uske bartan sitaaron jitne be-shumaar hain.'
