Narrated Ibn `Abbas:`Umar asked the people regarding Allah's Statement: 'When comes the Help of Allah (to you O Muhammad against your enemies) and the conquest of Mecca.' (110.1) They replied, "It indicates the future conquest of towns and palaces (by Muslims)." `Umar said, "What do you say about it, O Ibn `Abbas?" I replied, "(This Surat) indicates the termination of the life of Muhammad. Through it he was informed of the nearness of his death
Ibn Abbas bataate hain: Umar ne logon se Allah ke is farmaan ke baare mein pucha: 'Jab Allah ki madad (Aye Muhammad, aapke dushmanon ke khilaaf) aur Makkah ki fatah aa jaaye...' (110:1) Unhone jawab diya, 'Ye Musalmaanon dwara aane waale shehron aur mahalon ki fatah ki taraf ishara karta hai.' Umar ne pucha, 'Tumhaara is baare mein kya khayaal hai, Aye Ibn Abbas?' Maine jawab diya, '(Ye Surah) Muhammad (SAW) ki zindagi ke khatam hone ki taraf ishara karti hai. Isse unhein unki maut ki nazdeeki ki khabar di gayi thi.'
