Hadith text
Narrated Abu Huraira:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ordered me to guard the Zakat revenue of Ramadan. Then somebody came to me and started stealing from the foodstuff. I caught him and said, "I will take you to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)!" Then Abu Huraira described the whole narration and said: That person said (to me), "(Please don't take me to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and I will tell you a few words by which Allah will benefit you.) When you go to your bed, recite Ayat-al-Kursi, (2.255) for then there will be a guard from Allah who will protect you all night long, and Satan will not be able to come near you till dawn." Abu Huraira bataate hain: Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ne mujhe Ramzan ki Zakat (sadqa-e-fitr) ki rakhwaali karne ka hukm diya. Phir koi mere paas aaya aur khaane ka saamaan churaane laga. Maine use pakad liya aur kaha, 'Main tujhe Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ke paas le jaaunga!' Phir Abu Huraira ne poori riwayat bayaan ki aur kaha: Us shaks ne (mujhse) kaha, '(Mujhe Allah ke Rasool ke paas mat le jaao, main tumhein kuch aisi baaten bataunga jinse Allah tumhein faayda dega.) Jab tum apne bistar par jao, to Ayat-ul-Kursi (2:255) padho, phir Allah ki taraf se ek nigehbaan tumhaari poori raat hifaazat karega, aur Shaitaan subah tak tumhaare qareeb nahi aa payega.' (Jab Nabi (SAW) ne ye kahaani suni) unhone (mujhse) farmaya, 'Usne (jo tumhaare paas raat ko aaya) tumse sach kaha, halaanke wo khud jhoota hai; aur wo Shaitaan tha.'
