Hadith text
Narrated `Abdur-Rahman bin `Abis:I heard Ibn `Abbas answering a man who asked him, "Did you attend the prayer of `Id al Adha or `Idal- Fitr with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)?" Ibn `Abbas replied, "Yes, and had it not been for my close relationship with him, I could not have offered it." (That was because of his young age). Ibn `Abbas further said, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) went out and offered the Id prayer and then delivered the sermon." Ibn `Abbas did not mention anything about the Adhan (the call for prayer) or the Iqama. He added, "Then the Prophet (ﷺ) went to the women and instructed them and gave them religious advice and ordered them to give alms and I saw them reaching out (their hands to) their ears and necks (to take off the earrings and necklaces, etc.) and throwing (it) towards Bilal. Then the Prophet (ﷺ) returned with Bilal to his house
Abdur Rahman bin Abis bataate hain: Maine Ibn Abbas ko ek shaks ka jawab dete suna jisne unse pucha, 'Kya aap Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ke saath Eid-ul-Adha ya Eid-ul-Fitr ki namaz mein shaamil hue the?' Ibn Abbas ne jawab diya, 'Haan, aur agar main unse qareebi rishtedaar na hota, to main ye namaz na padh paata.' (Ye unki kam umar ki wajah se tha.) Ibn Abbas ne aage kaha, 'Allah ke Rasool (SAW) baahar aaye aur Eid ki namaz padhaayi, phir khutba diya.' Ibn Abbas ne Azaan ya Iqaamat ka koi zikr nahi kiya. Unhone aage kaha, 'Phir Nabi (SAW) auraton ke paas gaye aur unhein hidaayat aur deeni naseehat di, aur unhein sadqa dene ka hukm diya, aur maine dekha ke wo apne kaan aur gardan tak haath le ja rahi thin (baaliyaan aur haar utaarne ke liye) aur unhein Bilal ki taraf phenk rahi thin. Phir Nabi (SAW) Bilal ke saath apne ghar wapas gaye.'
