Hadith text

Narrated `Aisha:A man divorced his wife thrice (by expressing his decision to divorce her thrice), then she married another man who also divorced her. The Prophet (ﷺ) was asked if she could legally marry the first husband (or not). The Prophet (ﷺ) replied, "No, she cannot marry the first husband unless the second husband consummates his marriage with her, just as the first husband had done

Aisha bataati hain: Ek aadmi ne apni biwi ko teen baar talaaq de di (yaani apna faisla teen baar zaahir kiya), phir usne ek doosre aadmi se nikaah kiya jisne bhi use talaaq de di. Nabi (SAW) se pucha gaya ke kya wo (pehle shohar se) dobara nikaah kar sakti hai (ya nahi). Nabi (SAW) ne jawab diya, 'Nahi, wo pehle shohar se nikaah nahi kar sakti jab tak doosra shohar usse apni shaadi poori (rukhsati) na kar le, jaise pehle shohar ne kiya tha.'
