Sahih al-Bukhari 5270

Hadith text

Narrated Jabir:A man from the tribe of Bani Aslam came to the Prophet (ﷺ) while he was in the mosque and said, "I have committed illegal sexual intercourse." The Prophet (ﷺ) turned his face to the other side. The man turned towards the side towards which the Prophet (ﷺ) had turned his face, and gave four witnesses against himself. On that the Prophet (ﷺ) called him and said, "Are you insane?" (He added), "Are you married?" The man said, 'Yes." On that the Prophet (ﷺ) ordered him to be stoned to the death in the Musalla (a praying place). When the stones hit him with their sharp edges and he fled, but he was caught at Al- Harra and then killed

Jabir bataate hain: Banu Aslam qabeele ka ek shaks Nabi (SAW) ke paas aaya jabke wo Masjid mein the aur kaha, 'Maine zina kiya hai.' Nabi (SAW) ne apna chehra doosri taraf pher liya. Wo shaks jis taraf Nabi (SAW) ne chehra phera tha usi taraf mud gaya, aur apne khilaaf chaar baar gawaahi di. Isper Nabi (SAW) ne use bulaaya aur pucha, 'Kya tum paagal ho?' (Unhone ye bhi pucha,) 'Kya tumhaari shaadi ho chuki hai?' Us shaks ne kaha, 'Haan.' Isper Nabi (SAW) ne use Musalla (namaz ki jagah) mein rajm (patthar maar kar) qatl karne ka hukm diya. Jab patthar apni teekhi dhaar se use lagne lage aur wo bhaaga, magar use Al-Harra mein pakad liya gaya aur phir maar diya gaya.
