Hadith text
Narrated Khalid bin Al-Walid:"A roasted mastigure was brought to the Prophet (ﷺ) who stretched his hand towards it to eat it. But it was said to him, "It is a mastigure." So he withdrew his hand. Khalid asked, "Is it unlawful to eat?" the Prophet said, "No, but it is not found in the land of my people and that is why I do not like eating it." So Khalid started eating (it) while Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was looking at him. An-Nadr said: 'Al-Khazira' (is prepared) from bran while 'Al-Harira' is prepared from milk
Khalid bin Al-Walid bataate hain: Ek bhuna hua guhera Nabi (SAW) ke paas laaya gaya, unhone apna haath usse khaane ke liye badhaaya. Magar unhein kaha gaya, 'Ye guhera hai.' To unhone apna haath hataa liya. Khalid ne pucha, 'Kya ye khaana haraam hai?' Nabi (SAW) ne kaha, 'Nahi, magar ye meri qaum ki zameen mein nahi milta, isliye mujhe ye khaana pasand nahi.' To Khalid ise khaane lage jabke Allah ke Rasool (SAW) unhein dekh rahe the. (Ravi) An-Nadr ne kaha: 'Al-Khazira' choker se banaayi jaati hai jabke 'Al-Harira' doodh se.
