Sahih al-Bukhari 5450

Hadith text

Narrated Anas:My mother, Um Sulaim, took a Mudd of barley grain, ground it and made porridge from it, and pressed (over it), a butter skin she had with her. Then she sent me to the Prophet, and I reached him while he was sitting with his companions. I invited him, whereupon he said, "And those who are with me?' I returned and said, "He says, 'And those who are with me?" Abu Talha went out to him and said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! It is just a meal prepared by Um Sulaim." The Prophet (ﷺ) entered and the food was brought to him. He said, "Let ten persons enter upon me." Those ten entered and ate their fill. Again he said, 'Let ten (more) enter upon me." Those ten entered and ate their fill. Then he said, "Let ten (more) enter upon me." He called forty persons in all Then Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ate and got up. I started looking (at the food) to see if it decreased or not

Anas bataate hain: Meri maa, Umm Sulaim, ne ek Mudd jau liya, use peesa aur usse dalia banaaya, aur usmein makhan ki khaal jo unke paas thi mila di. Phir unhone mujhe Nabi (SAW) ke paas bheja, aur main unke paas pahuncha jab wo apne sahaaba ke saath baithe the. Maine unhein dawat di, isper unhone kaha, 'Aur jo mere saath hain?' Main wapas gaya aur kaha, 'Wo kehte hain, "Aur jo mere saath hain?"' Abu Talha unke paas gaye aur kaha, 'Aye Allah ke Rasool! Ye bas Umm Sulaim ka taiyaar kiya ek maamooli khaana hai.' Nabi (SAW) andar aaye aur unke saamne khaana laaya gaya. Unhone kaha, 'Das logon ko andar aane do.' Wo das aaye aur pet bhar kar khaaya. Phir unhone kaha, 'Das aur andar aane do.' Wo das aaye aur pet bhar kar khaaya. Phir unhone kaha, 'Das aur andar aane do.' Unhone kul chaalis logon ko bulaaya. Phir Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ne khaaya aur uthe. Main (khaane ko) dekhne laga ke kya usmein kami aayi hai ya nahi.
