Hadith text
Narrated Asma' bint Abu Bakr:I conceived `Abdullah bin Az-Zubair at Mecca and went out (of Mecca) while I was about to give birth. I came to Medina and encamped at Quba', and gave birth at Quba'. Then I brought the child to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and placed it (on his lap). He asked for a date, chewed it, and put his saliva in the mouth of the child. So the first thing to enter its stomach was the saliva of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). Then he did its Tahnik with a date, and invoked Allah to bless him. It was the first child born in the Islamic era, therefore they (Muslims) were very happy with its birth, for it had been said to them that the Jews had bewitched them, and so they would not produce any offspring
Asma bint Abu Bakr bataati hain: Main Abdullah bin Az-Zubair se Makkah mein hamila hui aur (Makkah se) nikli jab main bacha janm dene wali thi. Main Madina aayi aur Quba mein thehri, aur Quba mein hi bacha janma. Phir main bacche ko Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ke paas laayi aur use unki god mein rakh diya. Unhone khajoor maangi, use chabaaya, aur apna lar bacche ke munh mein daala. To sabse pehli cheez jo uske pet mein gayi wo Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ka lar tha. Phir unhone khajoor se uska Tahnik kiya, aur Allah se dua ki ke use barkat de. Ye Islami daur ka pehla bacha tha, isliye (Musalmaan) uski paidaish se bahut khush hue, kyunke unse kaha gaya tha ke Yahudiyon ne unpar jaadu kar diya hai, isliye unke ghar koi bacha paida nahi hoga.
