Narrated Abu Qatada:that once he was with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) (on the way to Mecca). When he had covered some of the way to Mecca, he and some companions of his, who were in the state of Ihram. remained behind the Prophet while Abu Qatada himself was not in the state of Ihram. Abu Qatada, seeing an onager rode his horse and asked his companions to hand him a whip, but they refused. He then asked them to hand him his spear, but they refused. Then he took it himself and attacked the onager and killed it. Some of the Companions of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ate of it, but some others refused to eat. When they met Allah's Apostle they asked him about that. He said, "It was meal given to you by Allah
Abu Qatada bataate hain: Ek baar wo Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ke saath (Makkah ki taraf) the. Jab wo raaste ka kuch hissa tay kar chuke, wo aur unke kuch saathi, jo Ihram mein the, Nabi (SAW) se peeche reh gaye jabke Abu Qatada khud Ihram mein nahi the. Abu Qatada ne ek gorkhar (wild donkey) dekha, apne ghode par sawaar hue aur apne saathiyon se koda maangi, magar unhone inkaar kiya. Phir unhone bhaala maanga, magar unhone phir inkaar kiya. To unhone khud bhaala liya aur gorkhar par hamla karke use maar diya. Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ke kuch sahaaba ne usmein se khaaya, magar kuch ne khaane se inkaar kiya. Jab wo Allah ke Rasool (SAW) se mile, unhone unse iske baare mein pucha. Unhone farmaya, 'Ye Allah ki taraf se tumhein diya gaya khaana tha.'
