Sahih al-Bukhari 5566

Hadith text

Narrated Masruq:that he came to `Aisha and said to her, "O Mother of the Believers! There is a man who sends a Hadi to Ka`ba and stays in his city and requests that his Hadi camel be garlanded while he remains in a state of Ihram from that day till the people finish their Ihram (after completing all the ceremonies of Hajj)" (What do you say about it?) Masruq added, I heard the clapping of her hands behind the curtain. She said, "I used to twist the garlands for the Hadi of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and he used to send his Hadi to Ka`ba but he never used to regard as unlawful what was lawful for men to do with their wives till the people returned (from the Hajj)

Masruq bataate hain: Wo Aisha ke paas aaye aur unse kaha, 'Aye Ummul-Momineen! Ek aadmi hai jo Kaaba ke liye Hadi (qurbaani ka jaanwar) bhejta hai aur khud apne shehar mein rehta hai, aur chahta hai ke uske Hadi oont ko haar pehnaaya jaaye jabke wo khud us din se Ihram ki haalat mein rahe jab tak log apna Ihram khatam na kar lein (Hajj ki saari rasmein poori karne ke baad) - (aap iske baare mein kya kehti hain?)' Masruq ne aage kaha: Maine parde ke peechhe unke haath thapthapaane ki aawaaz suni. Unhone kaha, 'Main Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ke Hadi ke liye haar bunti thi, aur wo apna Hadi Kaaba bhejte the, magar wo kabhi apni biwiyon ke saath wo cheezein haraam nahi maante the jo mardon ke liye jaayez hain, jab tak log (Hajj se) wapas nahi aa jaate.'
