Book 75: Patients · Hadith 4
Hadith text
Narrated Abu Huraira:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "The example of a believer is that of a fresh tender plant; from whatever direction the wind comes, it bends it, but when the wind becomes quiet, it becomes straight again. Similarly, a believer is afflicted with calamities (but he remains patient till Allah removes his difficulties.) And an impious wicked person is like a pine tree which keeps hard and straight till Allah cuts (breaks) it down when He wishes." (See Hadith No. 558, Vol)
Abu Huraira bataate hain: Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ne farmaya, 'Momin ki misaal ek naram, taazi paudhe jaisi hai; jis bhi taraf se hawa aaye, wo jhuk jaati hai, magar jab hawa shaant ho jaati hai, wo phir seedhi ho jaati hai. Isi tarah, momin ko museebaton ka saamna karna padta hai (magar wo sabra karta hai jab tak Allah uski mushkilein door na kar de). Aur ek bad-amal aur badkaar shaks chad ke darakht jaisa hai jo sakht aur seedha rehta hai yahaan tak ke Allah use kaat (tod) de jab wo chaahe.'
