Hadith text
Narrated Anas bin Malik:Some people from the tribes of `Ukl and `Uraina came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and embraced Islam and said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! We are owners of livestock and have never been farmers," and they found the climate of Medina unsuitable for them. So Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ordered that they be given some camels and a shepherd, and ordered them to go out with those camels and drink their milk and urine. So they set out, but when they reached a place called Al-Harra, they reverted to disbelief after their conversion to Islam, killed the shepherd and drove away the camels. When this news reached the Prophet (ﷺ) he sent in their pursuit (and they were caught and brought). The Prophet (ﷺ) ordered that their eyes be branded with heated iron bars and their hands be cut off, and they were left at Al-Harra till they died in that state
Anas bin Malik bataate hain: Ukl aur Uraina qabeelon ke kuch log Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ke paas aaye aur Islam qubool kiya aur kaha, 'Aye Allah ke Rasool! Hum maweshiyon ke maalik hain aur kabhi kisaan nahi rahe,' aur unhein Madina ka mausam maafiq nahi laga. To Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ne hukm diya ke unhein kuch oont aur ek charwaaha diya jaaye, aur unhein hukm diya ke wo un oonton ke saath jaayein aur unka doodh aur peshaab piyein. To wo rawaana hue, magar jab wo Al-Harra naami jagah pahunche, Islam qubool karne ke baad wapas kufr ki taraf mud gaye, charwaahe ko qatl kar diya aur oont hankaa kar le gaye. Jab ye khabar Nabi (SAW) tak pahunchi, unhone unke peechhe log bheje (aur unhein pakad kar laaya gaya). Nabi (SAW) ne hukm diya ke unki aankhon mein garam loha daaga jaaye aur unke haath kaat diye jaayein, aur unhein Al-Harra mein chhod diya gaya yahaan tak ke wo usi haalat mein mar gaye.
