Hadith text

Narrated Al-Walid bin 'Aizar:I heard Abi `Amr 'Ash-Shaibani saying, "The owner of this house." he pointed to `Abdullah's house, "said, 'I asked the Prophet (ﷺ) 'Which deed is loved most by Allah?" He replied, 'To offer prayers at their early (very first) stated times.' " `Abdullah asked, "What is the next (in goodness)?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "To be good and dutiful to one's parents," `Abdullah asked, "What is the next (in goodness)?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "To participate in Jihad for Allah's Cause." `Abdullah added, "The Prophet (ﷺ) narrated to me these three things, and if I had asked more, he would have told me more

Al-Walid bin Aizar bataate hain: Maine Abi Amr Ash-Shaibani ko ye kehte suna, 'Is ghar ke maalik' - unhone Abdullah ke ghar ki taraf ishara kiya - 'ne kaha, "Maine Nabi (SAW) se pucha, 'Kaunsa amal Allah ko sabse zyaada pyaara hai?' Unhone jawab diya, 'Namaz ko unke sabse pehle muqarrar waqt par padhna.'"' Abdullah ne pucha, 'Uske baad kaunsa (achha amal)?' Nabi (SAW) ne kaha, 'Apne maa-baap ke saath achha aur farmaanbardaar hona.' Abdullah ne pucha, 'Uske baad kaunsa?' Nabi (SAW) ne kaha, 'Allah ki raah mein Jihad mein hissa lena.' Abdullah ne aage kaha, 'Nabi (SAW) ne mujhe ye teen cheezein bataayin, aur agar maine aur poocha hota, to wo mujhe aur bataate.'
