Narrated Ibn `Umar:The Prophet (ﷺ) said at Mina, "Do you know what day is today?" They (the people) replied, "Allah and His Apostle know better," He said "Today is 10th of Dhul-Hijja, the sacred (forbidden) day. Do you know what town is this town?" They (the people) replied, "Allah and His Apostle know better." He said, "This is the (forbidden) Sacred town (Mecca a sanctuary)." And do you know which month is this month?" They (the People) replied, "Allah and His Apostle know better." He said, ''This is the Sacred (forbidden) month ." He added, "Allah has made your blood, your properties and your honor Sacred to one another (i.e. Muslims) like the sanctity of this day of yours in this month of yours, in this town of yours." Ibn Umar bataate hain: Nabi (SAW) ne Mina mein farmaya, 'Kya tumhein pata hai aaj kaunsa din hai?' Logon ne jawab diya, 'Allah aur uske Rasool behtar jaante hain.' Unhone kaha, 'Aaj Zul-Hijja ki dus tareek hai, ek muqaddas din. Kya tumhein pata hai ye kaunsa shehar hai?' Logon ne jawab diya, 'Allah aur uske Rasool behtar jaante hain.' Unhone kaha, 'Ye ek muqaddas shehar hai (Makkah, ek panaah-gah).' Aur kya tumhein pata hai ye kaunsa mahina hai?' Logon ne jawab diya, 'Allah aur uske Rasool behtar jaante hain.' Unhone kaha, 'Ye muqaddas mahina hai.' Unhone aage kaha, 'Allah ne tumhaara khoon, tumhaari jaayadaad, aur tumhaari izzat ek doosre ke liye utni hi muqaddas banaayi hai (yaani Musalmaanon ke liye) jitni is din ki tumhaare is mahine mein, tumhaare is shehar mein.'
