Book 81: To make the Heart Tender (Ar-Riqaq) · Hadith 57
Hadith text
Narrated Anas bin Malik:Once Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) led us in prayer and then (after finishing it) ascended the pulpit and pointed with his hand towards the Qibla of the mosque and said, "While I was leading you in prayer, both Paradise and Hell were displayed in front of me in the direction of this wall. I had never seen a better thing (than Paradise) and a worse thing (than Hell) as I have seen today, I had never seen a better thing and a worse thing as I have seen today
Anas bin Malik bataate hain: Ek baar Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ne humein namaz padhaayi, phir (namaz khatam karne ke baad) mimbar par chadhe aur apne haath se Masjid ke Qibla ki taraf ishara karte hue kaha, 'Jab main tumhein namaz padha raha tha, Jannat aur Jahannam dono mere saamne is deewaar ki taraf pesh kiye gaye. Maine kabhi (Jannat se) achhi cheez aur (Jahannam se) buri cheez nahi dekhi jaisi aaj dekhi, maine kabhi achhi aur buri cheez nahi dekhi jaisi aaj dekhi.'
