Sahih al-Bukhari 6510

Hadith text

Narrated `Aisha:There was a leather or wood container full of water in front of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) (at the time of his death). He would put his hand into the water and rub his face with it, saying, "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah! No doubt, death has its stupors." Then he raised his hand and started saying, "(O Allah!) with the highest companions." (See Qur'an 4:69) (and kept on saying it) till he expired and his hand dropped

Aisha bataati hain: Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ke saamne (unki maut ke waqt) chamde ya lakdi ka ek bartan paani se bhara hua tha. Wo apna haath paani mein daalte aur apne chehre par malte, kehte hue, 'Allah ke siwa koi ibaadat ke laayak nahi! Beshak, maut ki apni sakhtiyaan hain.' Phir unhone apna haath uthaaya aur kehna shuru kiya, '(Aye Allah!) Sabse Uche Saathiyon (ke saath)' (Quran 4:69 dekhein), (aur ye kehte rahe) yahaan tak ke unka intekaal ho gaya aur unka haath gir gaya.
