Hadith text

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:The Prophet (ﷺ) stood up among us and addressed (saying) "You will be gathered, barefooted, naked, and uncircumcised (as Allah says): 'As We began the first creation, We shall repeat it..' (21.104) And the first human being to be dressed on the Day of Resurrection will be (the Prophet) Abraham Al-Khalil. Then will be brought some men of my followers who will be taken towards the left (i.e., to the Fire), and I will say: 'O Lord! My companions whereupon Allah will say: You do not know what they did after you left them. I will then say as the pious slave, Jesus said, And I was witness over them while I dwelt amongst them..........(up to) ...the All-Wise.' (5.117-118). The narrator added: Then it will be said that those people (relegated from Islam, that is) kept on turning on their heels (deserted Islam)

Ibn Abbas bataate hain: Nabi (SAW) hamare beech khade hue aur khitaab kiya (kehte hue), 'Tum jama kiye jaaoge, nange pair, nange badan, aur bina khatna kiye hue (jaisa Allah farmaata hai): "Jaisa humne pehli baar takhleeq shuru ki thi, waise hi hum ise dohraayenge..." (21:104) Aur Qayamat ke din sabse pehle kapde pehnaaya jaane wala insaan Ibrahim Al-Khalil honge. Phir mere maanne walon mein se kuch aadmi laaye jaayenge jinhein baayi taraf (yaani Jahannam ki taraf) le jaaya jaayega, aur main kahunga, "Aye Rab! Mere saathi." Isper Allah kahega, "Tumhein nahi pata unhone tumhaare jaane ke baad kya kiya." Phir main aisa hi kahunga jaisa neik bandaa Isa (Jesus) ne kaha, "Aur main unpar gawaah tha jab tak main unke beech raha......." (Aayat ke aakhir tak) "...Hikmat waala." (5:117-118).' Ravi ne izaafa kiya: Phir kaha jaayega ke wo log (jo Islam se hate huye the) apni edi par ghoomte rahe (yaani Islam chhod diya).
