Book 81: To make the Heart Tender (Ar-Riqaq) · Hadith 146

حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى لأَهْوَنِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ عَذَابًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لَوْ أَنَّ لَكَ مَا فِي الأَرْضِ مِنْ شَىْءٍ أَكُنْتَ تَفْتَدِي بِهِ فَيَقُولُ نَعَمْ‏.‏ فَيَقُولُ أَرَدْتُ مِنْكَ أَهْوَنَ مِنْ هَذَا وَأَنْتَ فِي صُلْبِ آدَمَ أَنْ لاَ تُشْرِكَ بِي شَيْئًا فَأَبَيْتَ إِلاَّ أَنْ تُشْرِكَ بِي ‏"‏‏.‏

Narrated Anas bin Malik:The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Allah will say to the person who will have the minimum punishment in the Fire on the Day of Resurrection, 'If you had things equal to whatever is on the earth, would you ransom yourself (from the punishment) with it?' He will reply, Yes. Allah will say, 'I asked you a much easier thing than this while you were in the backbone of Adam, that is, not to worship others besides Me, but you refused and insisted to worship others besides Me

Anas bin Malik bataate hain: Nabi (SAW) ne farmaya, 'Allah us shaks se kahega jise Qayamat ke din Aag mein sabse kam saza milegi, "Agar tere paas zameen par jo bhi hai wo (sab) hota, kya tu us se apni jaan chhudaane ke liye dega?" Wo jawab dega, "Haan." Allah kahega, "Maine tujhse isse bhi zyaada aasaan cheez maangi thi jab tu Aadam ki peeth mein tha, yaani ye ke Mere siwa doosron ki ibaadat na kare, magar tune inkaar kiya aur Mere siwa doosron ki ibaadat karne par zid ki."'
