Hadith text
Narrated Ibn `Umar:The Prophet (ﷺ) said to Ibn Saiyad, "I have kept for you a secret." Ibn Saiyad said, "Ad-Dukh." The Prophet said, "Keep quiet, for you cannot go beyond your limits (or you cannot exceed what has been foreordained for you)." On that, `Umar said (to the Prophet (ﷺ) ), "Allow me to chop off his neck!" The Prophet said, "Leave him, for if he is he (i.e., Ad-Dajjal), then you will not be able to overcome him, and if he is not, then you gain no good by killing him
Ibn Umar bataate hain: Nabi (SAW) ne Ibn Saiyad se kaha, 'Maine tumhaare liye ek raaz chhupaa rakha hai.' Ibn Saiyad ne kaha, 'Ad-Dukh.' Nabi (SAW) ne kaha, 'Chup raho, kyunke tum apni hadd se aage nahi badh sakte (ya, tum jo tumhaare liye muqarrar hai usse aage nahi badh sakte).' Isper, Umar ne (Nabi se) kaha, 'Mujhe ijaazat dijiye ke main iski gardan kaat doon!' Nabi (SAW) ne kaha, 'Ise chhod do, kyunke agar ye wahi hai (yaani Ad-Dajjal), to tum use haraa nahi paaoge, aur agar ye nahi hai, to ise qatl karne se tumhein koi faayda nahi.'
