Narrated Al-Aswad bin Yazid:Mu`adh bin Jabal came to us in Yemen as a tutor and a ruler, and we (the people of Yemen) asked him about (the distribution of the property of ) a man who had died leaving a daughter and a sister. Mu`adh gave the daughter one-half of the property and gave the sister the other half
Al-Aswad bin Yazid bataate hain: Mu'adh bin Jabal humare paas Yemen mein ek Ustaad aur hukmraan ke taur par aaye, aur hum (Yemen ke logon) ne unse ek aise aadmi ki jaayadaad ki taqseem ke baare mein pucha jo apni ek beti aur ek behen chhod kar mar gaya tha. Mu'adh ne beti ko jaayadaad ka aadha diya aur behen ko doosra aadha diya.
