Hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ سَلاَمٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " الْوَلاَءُ لِمَنْ أَعْطَى الْوَرِقَ، وَوَلِيَ النِّعْمَةَ ".
Narrated Aisha:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "The wala is for the one who gives the silver (pays the price) and does the favor (of manumission after paying the price)
Aisha bataati hain: Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ne farmaya, 'Wala' us shaks ke liye hai jo chaandi deta hai (keemat adaa karta hai) aur (azaad karne ka) ehsaan karta hai.'
