Hadith text

Narrated Anas:A group of people from `Ukl (tribe) came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and they were living with the people of As- Suffa, but they became ill as the climate of Medina did not suit them, so they said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Provide us with milk." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, I see no other way for you than to use the camels of Allah's Apostle." So they went and drank the milk and urine of the camels, (as medicine) and became healthy and fat. Then they killed the shepherd and took the camels away. When a help-seeker came to Allah's Apostle, he sent some men in their pursuit, and they were captured and brought before mid day. The Prophet ordered for some iron pieces to be made red hot, and their eyes were branded with them and their hands and feet were cut off and were not cauterized. Then they were put at a place called Al- Harra, and when they asked for water to drink they were not given till they died. (Abu Qilaba said, "Those people committed theft and murder and fought against Allah and His Apostle)

Anas bataate hain: Ukl qabeele ke logon ka ek giroh Nabi (SAW) ke paas aaya aur wo Suffa ke logon ke saath rehte the, magar wo bimar ho gaye kyunke Madina ki aabo-hawa unhein raas nahi aayi, isliye unhone kaha, 'Aye Allah ke Rasool! Humein doodh dijiye.' Nabi (SAW) ne kaha, 'Mujhe tumhaare liye Allah ke Rasool ke oonton ke istemaal ke ilaawa koi doosra raasta nazar nahi aata.' To wo gaye aur oonton ka doodh aur peshaab piya (dawa ke taur par) aur sehatmand aur mote ho gaye. Phir unhone charwaahe ko qatl kiya aur oont le gaye. Jab ek madad maangne wala Allah ke Rasool (SAW) ke paas aaya, unhone unke peechhe kuch aadmi bheje, aur unhein pakad kar dophar se pehle laaya gaya. Nabi (SAW) ne hukm diya ke kuch lohe ke tukdon ko garam kiya jaaye, aur unse unki aankhein daagh di gayin aur unke haath aur pair kaate gaye aur unhein daagh nahi diya gaya (cauterize nahi kiya gaya). Phir unhein Al-Harra naami jagah par le jaaya gaya, aur jab unhone paani maangaya peene ke liye, unhein nahi diya gaya yahaan tak ke wo mar gaye.
