Sahih al-Bukhari 6822

Hadith text

Narrated 'Aisha: A man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) in the mosque and said, "I am burnt (ruined)!" The Prophet (ﷺ) asked him, "With what (what have you done)?" He said, "I have had sexual relation with my wife in the month of Ramadan (while fasting)." The Prophet (ﷺ) said to him, "Give in charity." He said, "I have nothing." The man sat down, and in the meantime there came a person driving a donkey carrying food to the Prophet (ﷺ) ..... (The sub-narrator, 'Abdur Rahman added: I do not know what kind of food it was). On that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Where is the burnt person?" The man said, "Here I am." The Prophet (ﷺ) said to him, "Take this (food) and give it in charity (to someone)." The man said, "To a poorer person than l? My family has nothing to eat." Then the Prophet (ﷺ) said to him, "Then eat it yourselves

Aisha bataati hain: Ek shaks Nabi (SAW) ke paas Masjid mein aaya aur kaha, 'Main jal gaya hoon (barbaad ho gaya hoon)!' Nabi (SAW) ne unse pucha, 'Kaise (tumne kya kiya)?' Usne kaha, 'Maine Ramzan ke mahine mein (roze ki haalat mein) apni biwi se humbistari ki.' Nabi (SAW) ne unse kaha, 'Sadqe mein do.' Usne kaha, 'Mere paas kuch nahi hai.' Wo shaks baith gaya, aur isi dauraan, koi shaks ek gadha haank kar Nabi (SAW) ke paas khaana laaya... (Ravi Abdur Rahman ne izaafa kiya: Mujhe nahi pata wo kaunsa khaana tha). Isper Nabi (SAW) ne kaha, 'Wo jala hua shaks kahaan hai?' Us shaks ne kaha, 'Main yahaan hoon.' Nabi (SAW) ne unse kaha, 'Ise (khaana) lo aur (kisi ko) sadqe mein do.' Us shaks ne kaha, 'Kisi aur gareeb ko jo mujhse bhi zyaada gareeb ho? Mere khaandaan ke paas khaane ko kuch nahi hai.' Isper Nabi (SAW) ne unse kaha, 'To ise khud khaao.'
