Book 86: Limits and Punishments set by Allah (Hudood) · Hadith 79
Hadith text
Narrated Abu Huraira:The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Avoid the seven great destructive sins." They (the people!) asked, "O Allah's Apostle! What are they?" He said, "To join partners in worship with Allah; to practice sorcery; to kill the life which Allah has forbidden except for a just cause (according to Islamic law); to eat up usury (Riba), to eat up the property of an orphan; to give one's back to the enemy and fleeing from the battle-field at the time of fighting and to accuse chaste women who never even think of anything touching chastity and are good believers
Abu Huraira bataate hain: Nabi (SAW) ne farmaya, 'Saat tabaahkun gunaahon se bacho.' Unhone (logon ne) pucha, 'Aye Allah ke Nabi! Wo kya hain?' Unhone kaha, 'Allah ke saath doosron ko shareek karna; jaadu karna; kisi jaan ko qatl karna jise Allah ne haraam kiya hai, siwaaye jaayez wajah ke (Islami qanoon ke mutaabik); sood (Riba) khaana; yateem ki jaayadaad khaana; jang ke maidan mein ladte waqt dushman se peeth dikhaakar bhaagna; aur paakdaaman auraton par ilzaam lagaana jo kabhi kisi paakdaamani se juda khayaal bhi nahi rakhtin aur achhi Momin hain.'
