Book 87: Blood Money (Ad-Diyat) · Hadith 25

حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ أَبِي عَائِشَةَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ قَالَتْ لَدَدْنَا النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي مَرَضِهِ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ لاَ تَلُدُّونِي ‏"‏‏.‏ فَقُلْنَا كَرَاهِيَةُ الْمَرِيضِ لِلدَّوَاءِ‏.‏ فَلَمَّا أَفَاقَ قَالَ ‏"‏ لاَ يَبْقَى أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ إِلاَّ لُدَّ، غَيْرَ الْعَبَّاسِ فَإِنَّهُ لَمْ يَشْهَدْكُمْ ‏"‏‏.‏

Narrated `Aisha:We poured medicine into the mouth of the Prophet (ﷺ) during his ailment. He said, "Don't pour medicine into my mouth." (We thought he said that) out of the aversion a patient usually has for medicines. When he improved and felt better he said, "There is none of you but will be forced to drink medicine, except Al-`Abbas, for he did not witness your deed

Aisha bataati hain: Humne Nabi (SAW) ki bimaari ke dauraan unke munh mein dawa daali. Unhone kaha, 'Mere munh mein dawa mat daalo.' (Humne socha unhone aisa kaha kyunke ek mareez ko dawa se aksar nafrat hoti hai). Jab unki tabiyat behtar hui aur unhein achha mehsoos hua, unhone kaha, 'Tum mein se koi bhi nahi bachega jise dawa peene par majboor na kiya gaya ho, siwaaye Al-Abbas ke, kyunke wo tumhaare (dawa daalne ke) amal ke gawaah nahi the.'
