Hadith text

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Amr:A bedouin came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! What are the biggest sins?: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "To join others in worship with Allah." The bedouin said, "What is next?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "To be undutiful to one's parents." The bedouin said "What is next?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said "To take an oath 'Al-Ghamus." The bedouin said, "What is an oath 'Al-Ghamus'?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The false oath through which one deprives a Muslim of his property (unjustly)

Abdullah bin Amr bataate hain: Ek badawi Nabi (SAW) ke paas aaya aur kaha, 'Aye Allah ke Rasool! Sabse bade gunaah kaunse hain?' Nabi (SAW) ne kaha, 'Allah ke saath doosron ko shareek karna.' Badawi ne kaha, 'Uske baad kya?' Nabi (SAW) ne kaha, 'Maa-baap ke saath badsuluki karna.' Badawi ne kaha, 'Uske baad kya?' Nabi (SAW) ne kaha, 'Al-Ghamus qasam khaana.' Badawi ne pucha, 'Al-Ghamus qasam kya hai?' Nabi (SAW) ne kaha, 'Wo jhoothi qasam jiske zariye koi kisi Musalmaan ki jaayadaad (na-jaayez taur par) chheenta hai.'
